Hi, I’m Terence Thang.
(he/him)
I know what it’s like to feel stuck—even when everything on the outside seems fine.
To follow what’s expected, even when your heart is quietly asking for something else.
To wonder, Is this really it?
That’s why I created Wondasobi.
I wanted to live differently—with more honesty, more spaciousness, and more room to grow.
Coaching became part of that shift for me, and now it’s how I support others who are also ready for something to change—even if they don’t know exactly what yet.
I’m a coach, a curious explorer, and someone who’s still figuring things out—just like you.
My Story
I was born in Hong Kong, raised in San Francisco, and spent 16 years in Tokyo. I’ve lived between cultures all my life—navigating identity, expectations, and what it means to belong.
As someone who’s rebuilt his life and career more than once, I understand what it’s like to be in transition. I’ve worked in HR, recruiting, and leadership—including over 13 years at Apple—and I’ve had to ask myself big questions more than once about who I am and what matters.
A few things about me:
• In PCC-level Integral Coach training with New Ventures West (Certification expected 2025)
• Certification: ACE Health Coach
• Fluent in English, Japanese, and Cantonese
• You can find me somewhere in San Francisco and Tokyo
• A walking time capsule of Japanese pop culture—from 90s J-Pop to today’s dramas
It Started with Wonder (and a Little Play)
Wondasobi came from a time when I felt stuck—frustrated by rigid ideas about who I should be and how life should look.
I wanted more flexibility. More space to try, to shift, to play.
That’s when wonder and play became more than just ideas—they became a way back to myself.
Wondasobi is…
-
Wondasobi is about living with presence and curiosity.
Letting go of what no longer fits.
Shifting gently—without needing to force or fix.
-
This journey starts with one-on-one coaching.
It’s personal, intentional, and designed to support you as you explore new ways of being.
-
Wondasobi is also a space to connect, share, and be in the journey together.
You don’t have to do it alone.
